8 October 2002 - The World Council of Churches (WCC) will be hosting an international consultation on "Christians and Muslims in dialogue and beyond". The three-day consultation will take place from 16-18 October 2002.

The Charismatic Orthodox Church. An effort by an Orthodox community of note.   "Our goal is to be a bridge among the different walks of Christian faith. ... The COC is also in talks with some of the protestant and other evangelical groups, working towards establishing ties to other parts of the body of Christ. We are not protesting anything about the mainline Orthodox churchs. We do not deride anyone in the body of Christ. Our goal is to be an encouragement to others, not one that tears down."
